Tejaswani Sawant-First Indian woman Shooter wins Gold Medal at World Shooting Championships

Tejaswani Sawant, the first Indian woman shooter to win  Gold Medal at World Championships with a world record, in Air Rifle Event, she equals the score in 50 meter rifle.

World Shooting Championships are being held on Munich. Tejaswani shot for 597, her score (100, 100, 100, 99, 99, 99). The same score scored by Polish shooter, Ewa Joanna Nowakowska but Tejaswani Sawant declared winner as of perfect score tally of 41.

She equals the record earlier set by Russian, Marina Bobkova in 1998. Bronze goes to Kazakhstan who scored 596. She is just 29, and had earlier win two gold medals in Melbourne Commonwealth Games in Air Rifle Event.
